Occupational therapists work with clients to improve safety mobility independence and participation in everyday activities through personalized assessment and practical recommendations.
Services include home safety assessments, ADP applications for mobility equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs, equipment recommendations, and strategies to support safe and independent living at home.

Elevate Mobility occupational therapists are ADP authorized to complete assessments and applications for walkers, manual and power wheelchairs, scooters and seating components in the Ottawa area. Clients receive recommendations based on clinical needs and guidance through the application process.

Occupational therapists at Elevate Mobility provide in home safety assessments to reduce fall risk and support independence. Each assessment looks at the individual, their abilities, and the home environment. A written report with practical recommendations is included.

Safe discharge planning is supported by our occupational therapists. Equipment and home modifications are arranged before returning home, helping reduce hospital readmission and promoting a smoother recovery.

Our occupational therapists provide recommendations and reports for home modifications, ranging from small changes like raised toilet seats to larger projects such as ramps or stair lifts. Support is also provided for funding applications and coordination with healthcare providers.
